Who? Tameka Foster, the wife of R&B artist Usher. They have two children together, Naveid Ely Raymond and Usher Raymond V. The couple also has three sons from a previous relationship.

What? Tameka Foster has reportedly suffered complications from past plastic surgery. On Saturday (2/7/09) Usher missed
a performance scheduled for Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy bash, stating he had to attend
“a serious injury in the family.” Additionally, Usher was missed the Grammy Awards on Sunday (2/8/08).

When? Saturday February 7, 2009

Where? Brazil. It is reported that a neurosurgeon is on his way down to South America to diagnose and treat Foster.

Why? It is speculated that Tameka Foster is suffering complications due to the fact that she has had five children and several plastic surgery operations.

How? At this point there is not much news as to how she has developed complications, or why she has developed complications. It is being kept quiet. It is reasonable to assume that a recent plastic surgery operation and the recent birth of her child Naveid in December is the cause.

Who? Tiger Woods, Elin Woods, Sam Alexis Woods, and Charlie Axel Woods. The Woods Family.

What? Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Woods have just given birth to their second child Charlie Axel Woods. Tiger and Elin also have a 19 month old daughter Sam Alexis Woods. On Sunday February 8, 2009, Tiger released a statement on his website:

“Elin and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our son, Charlie Axel Woods, who was born on Sunday, February 8, 2009. Both Charlie and Elin are doing great and we want to thank everyone for their sincere best wishes and kind thoughts. Sam is very excited to be a big sister and we feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful family. I also want to thank our doctors, nurses and hospital staff for their personal and professional care. We look forward to introducing Charlie to you at the appropriate time, and thanks again from all of us for your kindness and support.” (source: tigerwoods.com)

When? Sunday February 8, 2009.

Where? Tiger Woods' home.

Why? Woods has been out of competitive golf since June 2008 due to surgery on his knee (ACL injury), and he does not expect to be fully recovered until well into 2009. On People Woods has explained the enjoyment of being home to spend time with his wife and 19 month old daughter, Sam. Unable to play physically and having a new family to take care of, it seems a suitable time for Woods and his wife to have another child and raise their children. With two children under the age of two and a knee injury, it does not seem likely Woods will return to his full-time job (professional golf) any time soon.

How? The Stork.

Coming Soon: Kindle 2 by Amazon

"Coming Soon: Kindle 2 by Amazon"
By Ask Six Newsroom Staff February 9, 2009 Business

Who? Amazon.com is releasing the Kindle 2, an updated version of the Kindle - a digital notebook that can download thousands of books for instant electronic reading. The original Kindle can be found at amazon.com.

What? Amazon has just revealed the Kindle 2 - it’s thinner, faster, and is filled with new capabilities (see why? section). The original Kindle sold out in both of the years it has been available. This year, the Kindle sold out by November - faster than Amazon anticipated. This was unfortunate for those asked Santa for the Kindle in 2008.

Today, Monday February 9, 2009, Amazon announced the Kindle 2 launch date and product capabilities at the New York Library. Famous novelist Stephen King spoke at the conference, announcing a release of his new book “Ur” that will be distributed exclusively on Kindle 2.

When? February 24, 2009.

Where? Amazon.com for $359 (the same price as the original Kindle)

Why? Amazon was started as an online buyer and reseller of books. It has turned into an online retail store for all sorts of items, but books are at the heart of the company’s business. The Kindle was the first electronic reading tablet available. It combines the vast online bookstore offered by Amazon with a portable device; A Kindle owner can purchase and download a new book to the Kindle in less than a minute at a fraction of the price of a printed book. It is an enormously handy device that saves the average book reader loads of money (and space).

The Kindle 2.0 has been introduced in order to compete with other brands (like Sony) who are selling devices similar to the Kindle. Here is a a list of the new Kindle 2 features:

  • 5-way controller for more fluid navigation
  • 16 shades of grey.
  • 20% faster page turning.
  • 25% longer battery life (2 weeks on a single charge).
  • 7 times more storage, now holds 1,500 books.
  • 10.2 ounces and
  • 25% skinnier than the iPhone.
  • Text-to-voice for weird computer-sounding audio books.
How? The Kindle 2 will be distributed online from Amazon. It is anticipated that the device will sell out as quickly, if not quicker, than its predecessor (the original Kindle).
